Canterbury Motor Racing School trading as V8 SuperDrive
Firstly; we have no control over the weather. Drive/ride days are only done in fine weather – for safety and comfort. If you are travelling any great distance please check the weather forecast – and call us on (03) 349 6066 if you’re not sure. We reserve the right to postpone a drive/ride day if the forecast weather is less than ideal. Any postponed bookings will be re-booked to a new date, that best suits you.
We encourage the customer to redeem vouchers at their earliest convenience. We cannot accept expired voucher without prior approval before the expiry. A request for extension must be in writing and will be presented to V8 SuperDrive board for consideration. A minimum of 24hrs notice is required to change your booking. We have a cancellation list to consider to keep our business productive and costs to a minimum for our consumers.
Vouchers are STRICTLY non refundable. In the event of the recipeint not being able to use the voucher for any reason, they are transferrable so can be sold on or gifted to someone else. Please contact us if you need a name change made on the voucher.
We have a ‘use it or lose it’ policy. If you do not turn up for your booking we will not refund or rebook due to the costs to us to run our drive days. We may have to postpone your booking. Sometimes things happen beyond our control. It’s very frustrating for us when this happens and we understand it can be for you as well. If this happens we will offer you alternate dates.
Is there an age limit? We are fairly flexible when it comes to age, the most important thing is safety, so you will need to be able to fit into our 5 point harness. We have catered to a large range of ages from around 7-8 years old right up to 106 years!!
What about a weight/height limit? As bodies are made of all shapes and sizes, it is hard for us to determine a maximum weight and height. If you have any concerns about this, feel free to come out to the track one day and we would be more than happy to do a trial run with you. NOTE: If the customer is under 18 years of age, this contract must be signed by the customer’s guardian who agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this contract.
The following terms and conditions form an essential part of the contract between the customer and V8 SuperDrive.
1. The customer agrees to pay for any damage caused by any action or inaction of the customer to property owned, leased or otherwise lawfully in the possession of V8 SuperDrive and to indemnify V8 SuperDrive absolutely from any loss or damage caused by any action or inaction of the customer to any third party or any property lawfully in the possession of any third party.
2. The customer acknowledges that driving racing vehicles contains an inherent risk to participants. The customer therefore agrees and acknowledges that V8 SuperDrive has no liability whatsoever for any claim for damages of any kind arising directly or indirectly out of the performance of this contract or under any duty of care on the part of V8 SuperDrive and the customer agrees to indemnify V8 SuperDrive absolutely from any claim by any party for any such claim.
3. All repairs for damage caused by the customer shall be carried out by V8 SuperDrive using parts supplied by V8 SuperDrive or its nominated supplier.
4. Payment shall be made in full within seven days of the date of invoicing the customer for the cost of any damage caused and the customer agrees to pay interest on any unpaid balance from the date of invoicing to the date of actual payment at the rate of 15% per annum calculated daily.
5. The customer may be liable for any losses subsequent from damage rendering the vehicle unavailable for hire or any other purposes.
6. V8 SuperDrive acknowledges and accept that the customer shall not be responsible for engine damage provided that the customer shall be responsible for damage caused by the actions of the customer which are contrary to specific instructions given by a V8 SuperDrive instructor.
7. The customer acknowledges and declares he/she is not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and if taking medication must disclose this to the chief instructor when signing on for the day.In addition we have a Limitation of Liability added automatically to each voucher issued:V8 SuperDrive agrees to limit the liability of the customer under this contract to a maximum sum of ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1500.00)
